Message from the Technical Program Chair
Mahinda Vilathgamuwa Technical Programme Committee Chairman Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. |
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 2021 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition – Asia (ECCE-Asia 2021) in Singapore. A total of 647 digests were submitted to the technical program. These submissions were from 36 countries. From these, 428 papers will be presented during the conference for an overall acceptance rate of 66.1%. There were some good digests submitted for review but are not being presented. We hope that the detailed technical review comments we provided are helpful and those authors would be able to publish their digests in other events. We thank all authors who submitted digests as we believe high-quality submissions are the starting point of a superb conference.
There were 22 special sessions proposals and 9 out of these are part of the final program. We thank all special session organizers for their support and strong motivation towards the latest industrial interests and technology trends.
It was a great pleasure to work in the technical program committee for the cooperative spirit and extraordinary efforts of the members. Every member delivered every task requested promptly. We extend our sincere thanks to all the external reviewers relied upon by the committee members; their names are recorded in the front matter of these proceedings.
Beyond the technical program in these proceedings, the conference is enriched by many other items. These include an entire day of tutorials by area experts (prior to the technical program) and, exceptional plenary talks. For the former, thanks are due to all tutorial speakers. The plenary talks will be delivered by Prof. Low Teck Seng (National Research Foundation, Singapore), Prof. Hirofumi Akagi (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan), Prof. Ron S.Y. Hui (University of Hong Kong and Imperial College London), Prof. Frede Blaabjerg (Alborg University, Denmark), and Dr. Thomas Reindl (National University of Singapore).
There are round table and IEEE PELS-YP sessions on day 3 and IEEE EBL2 session on day 4. We hope that you find this conference to be an enjoyable and enriching experience and will be benefitted from the wide array of interactions.
